Maximum Parallel Power
Parallel compression is a key ingredient that has been used by top mixers for years, but up until now, it has always required complex routing and increased clutter in your mix project to be able to utilize it on every track. Many compressors have a mix knob for blending the compressed signal with the dry signal, but we have found that this just doesn’t give enough control to really make use of the extensive power of parallel compression. With individual wet and dry faders, along with an intuitive yet powerful EQ section, it won’t take long to recognize how much you’ve been missing out on. After using Manic Compressor on our projects, we realized that we have been missing out on a whole new world that we didn’t even know existed with compression.

6 Different Compressors
Even with so many good compressors out there, we find that it’s cumbersome to switch back and forth between different compressors with different settings trying to find the exact match for your track. With Manic Compressor, you can quickly switch between 6 different compressors without having to match settings. Because Manic Compressor was designed from the ground up to be used in parallel, we were able to make some compressor modes that really shine in parallel.

Built for Abuse
With Manic Compressor’s innovative parallel design and Loudness Relief, this compressor was built to be abused. Subtle compression is a thing of that past (unless you want it, of course). Manic Compressor lets you put your settings to maximum carnage and then ease it off with its unique Loudness Relief knob, which softens the compression artifacts even under super heavy load.

Bark of Dog 2 is a new and improved version of the plugin that started it all. Now with 3 different modes, it’s even better than before. When 2 dogs love each other… more dogs just seem to come out of nowhere. And that’s what Bark of Dog 2 is. Now with 2 different modes (and a “combo” mode) you have more options on ways to clean up your low end. Classic mode continues the legacy of version 1. The original Bark of Dog became a staple plugin in studios around the world for a good reason. It’s easy to use and it works. In version 2, you get the same controls, but they are a little more intuitive.

New Passive Mode
The passive mode is almost the complete opposite from Classic mode. In fact, it is designed to work like a the simultaneous boost and attenuation of a famous passive EQ. Essentially, it lets you boost your low end without getting muddy. It’s an awesome trick, and Bark of Dog 2 makes it so you can do it with one simple knob turn.

Combo Mode
This third mode is actually just the first two modes put together. Really what it does is lets you boost the low end like you would in passive mode, but cuts out some of the super low stuff so you don’t blow your speakers. It basically lets you push it harder than you would normally be able to. I thought it was a nice touch, so I put it in.

Our goal was not to clone a specific hardware reverb, but we wanted to replicate the sound of many hardware reverbs and allow users to experiment with their physical characteristics, even designing their own. To reach this goal we’ve built an entire plate reverb system as a fully-parametric physical model. We approached it from the perspectives of both clinical science and musicality. Forming the models core on extensive mathematical research and then calibrating the results against detailed measurements made of an EMT140 and EMT240. With Plate we simulate every component of the sound: dimensions, material, input/output positioning, modulation and decay sculpting while staying within the general sonic territory allowed by physics. In doing so we’re able to create a near-endless array of authentic plate reverb sound.

Start with models of your favorite units and quickly change their physical attributes; adjust the type of metal to dramatically alter the decay; adjust the plate size and manually position the i/o to effect the transient shapes from metallic ‘chirped’ sounds to full and even bodied reverbs; adjust anisotropy to detune the sound; apply tension to alter the frequency response; modify the physical dampener, mechanical friction, air radiation and octave-band decay to perfectly sculpt your reverb; boost your signal with a preamp saturation stage, add predelay, and then easily tame problem frequencies and position your sound with octave-band and lowcut filters. Adventurous users can dive straight-in and create any number of unique reverb configurations from scratch, yielding exceptional creative potential for sound designers.

Protector is a 0 dB stereo brickwall limiter with adjustable dynamics response. It will typically find its place on the master bus of your DAW to protect your audio output from overshoot, limit the general volume and improve the perceived loudness, thanks to a very transparent frequency response. Despite its very simple set of controls, it offers a wide range of sounds and it is also suitable as a track limiter for more creative effects such as distortion, pumping or heavy limiting. Its large colorful meters and its custom dynamics histogram provide premium visual feedback and make it the perfect tool to monitor and control the dynamics on your master buss. ValhallaDelay is our take on classic and modern delay and echo units. Tape echo, BBD, old-school digital, pitch shifting – we’ve got you covered. ValhallaDelay offers the classics, and expands them into new dimensions, with the unique Ratio and Quad delay styles, the Ghost mode (which adds frequency shifting), and a powerful diffusion section that can create anything from smeared echoes to ethereal reverbs.

ValhallaDelay has seven different delay Modes:
• Tape: Modeled after vintage tape echoes, with all the features and quirks that were loved in the old hardware.
• HiFi: A higher fidelity tape echo, where the ability to precisely sculpt the sound is in your hands.
• BBD: A dark, low fidelity bucket brigade delay model.
• Digital: A cleaner, higher bandwidth delay, with the ability to dial in digital dirt.
• Ghost: A Valhalla DSP original! Combines the tape model from the HiFi mode with frequency shifting and a unique diffusion algorithm, for sounds that will split your skull in two.
• Pitch: A digital delay with added pitch shifting. Perfect for micro-shifting vocals, adding harmonies to synths, creating vast shimmering soundscapes, or shrieking sounds that forever spiral upwards or downwards.

Five tape Styles, for controlling the number of delay voices:

• Delay lengths ranging from 0 msec to 20 seconds. Dial in choruses and flangers, slapback echoes, longer delays, or long Frippertronic loops.
• Sync the delay to the beat, with straight/dotted/triplet options. Or, control the length via milliseconds.
• Age control, for adjusting the artifacts of the delay mode. Clean and shiny, old and dusty, or anywhere in between.
• Powerful Diffusion section, that can be used to smooth out the attacks of delays, or can be an amazingly smooth and lush reverb in its own right. Up to 20 seconds of diffusion time possible!
• Era control, for selecting between different variants of the delay modes.

Current Version: 1.0.6:
– New behavior for Ping Pong Style. This new version sends the output of the left delay channel directly to the input of the right delay channel, without any feedback scaling. This results in a more balanced left/right signal at low feedback settings.
