The exact models of Klangfilm RZ062 vintage EQ modules. Two plug-ins for music production and mastering. Both RZ062 plug-ins deliver pleasant vintage warmth and amazing presence to your vocals, instruments and entire mixes. The RZ062 Equalizers were designed in Germany almost 60 years ago for installation in mixing consoles, together with the U73b compressors and other ingenious valve-based modules of that time. They were used in European studios to perform modification of frequency characteristics of the recorded sound, in order to eliminate undesired studio acoustics. But their complex valve circuits bring something much more interesting than just basic equalization: The incredibly subtle colouring of the sound,which is so highly valued in modern recording projects. Nowadays, these 6 lbs 300 V powered units are extremely rare. Due to their inaccessibility and remarkable sound, their price climbs to over $12.000 per pair. But thanks to our precise circuit modelling technique, these gems can return to your projects. We have modelled the equalizer circuits and we have also added some components from the original consoles, for instance, meters and gain controls.

RZ062
RZ062 is quite different. Instead of the colourful GUI of the modern equalizers, RZ adds wonderful colour to the audio material. The change of harmonics produced by the valve is combined with the change of spectrum adjusted by the EQ. And it really isn’t a simple thing like a valve followed by LRC circuit, the combination is quite complex. All precisely modelled, including these unique characteristics.

RZ062a
The RZ062a and RZ062b modules differ in the function of the central knob. In the a-module, the middle handle rotates the entire frequency curve around the central point (650 Hz). When the bass frequencies are raised, the trebles are simultaneously lowered.

RZ062b
The b-module is even more complicated. Its presence knob lets you choose one of four frequencies (1.4, 2, 2.8 and 4 kHz) and adjust their gain at the same time. This parameter helps your sonic material to cut through very gently and sensitively.

Crave EQ was built with one purpose: uncompromising sound quality. To that end, we have created 3 highly accurate EQ models based on an ideal analog equalizer. Each model is aimed at delivering the best possible sound for a specific task. For pure analog sound, the analog phase mode is a reproduction of clean analog hardware – an essential feature for professional quality mixing. This kind of modelling requires a small amount of latency which we’ve managed to keep astonishingly low at just 48 samples – 1.1ms at 44kHz or 0.5ms at 96kHz. When zero latency is a must, the digital phase mode offers a true analog EQ curve with digital phase. Digital EQs based on FIR filters often struggle with bass resolution and digital EQs based on IIR filters often have poor high frequency response. Our filtering technology ensures accuracy across the whole frequency spectrum with very little CPU usage. For scenarios that call for linear phase, the linear phase mode offers the same true analog EQ curve as the other modes with zero phase. As you may know, higher quality linear phase processing requires higher latency. To ensure you’re always getting the highest quality, the appropriate latency is selected based on the sample rate of the host.

The original dub delay plugin and still the best! Dubstation 2 takes our most popular product and adds a whole raft of new features, including a dual mode for separate control over the left and right delay times, ping-pong, a new feedback saturation algorithm, and an LFO. Along with an all-new procedural and Retina-friendly user interface and (FINALLY!) ProTools compatibility, this represents a major leap forward for one of our signature products.  All those bells and whistles aside, the heart of Dubstation is our painstaking bucket-brigade delay model. Often imitated, but never duplicated, Dubstation has been the go-to plugin for that sound for over a decade, used in thousands of commercial productions, and with good reason. With the addition of the LFO and saturation controls, Dubstation has moved in to the realm of tape delay emulation as well, and is a sonic Swiss Army knife for delay.

– Dubstation 2 is now resizable. Unfortunately it won’t remember your size choice between instances (for various reasons that would be tedious to go in to) but it will remember it per session.

The plugin now scales to the correct size in Windows hosts that run at 144dpi (currently only Live 10 in HiDpi mode). The scaling is internal and common to all hosts, but Live 10 HiDpi is the only place users will notice the change.
