SLM2 is a smart stereo loudness maximizer including “analog spice” and 16x over-sampling. The goal of the design was to maximize the loudness of the audio signal while maintaining transparency. The SLM2 DSP analyses every sample of the incoming stereo signal within a defined time frame and calculates the optimal volume increase. This guarantees maximum possible transparency. The overall loudness can be further increased by the following, optional clipper stage. Signal aliasing can be reduced by enabling over-sampling.

TDR Kotelnikov is a wideband dynamics processor combining high fidelity dynamic range control with deep musical flexibility. As a descendant of the venerable TDR Feedback Compressor product family, Kotelnikov has directly inherited several unique features such as a proven control scheme, individual release control for peak and RMS content, an intuitive user interface, and powerful, state of the art, high-precision algorithms. With a sonic signature best described as “stealthy”, Kotelnikov has the ability to manipulate the dynamic range by dramatic amounts, while carefully preserving the original tone, timbre and punch of a musical signal. As such, it is perfectly suited to stereo bus compression as well as other critical applications.

The “Gentleman’s Edition” (GE) adds several improvements to the standard edition’s feature set. The most obvious being an intuitive access to various equal loudness workflows, the ability to specify ratio in a frequency dependent manner, as well as a powerful sidechain high-pass filter allowing continuously variable access over slope and frequency. The Yin/Yang functions allow manipulating the harmonic pattern produced during compression, and a new “insane” quality mode increases processing fidelity even further.

Kotelnikov does not try to to emulate any previously available device. The concept is a proud digital processor, it is the original!

Bark of Dog 2 is a new and improved version of the plugin that started it all. Now with 3 different modes, it’s even better than before. When 2 dogs love each other… more dogs just seem to come out of nowhere. And that’s what Bark of Dog 2 is. Now with 2 different modes (and a “combo” mode) you have more options on ways to clean up your low end. Classic mode continues the legacy of version 1. The original Bark of Dog became a staple plugin in studios around the world for a good reason. It’s easy to use and it works. In version 2, you get the same controls, but they are a little more intuitive.

New Passive Mode
The passive mode is almost the complete opposite from Classic mode. In fact, it is designed to work like a the simultaneous boost and attenuation of a famous passive EQ. Essentially, it lets you boost your low end without getting muddy. It’s an awesome trick, and Bark of Dog 2 makes it so you can do it with one simple knob turn.

Combo Mode
This third mode is actually just the first two modes put together. Really what it does is lets you boost the low end like you would in passive mode, but cuts out some of the super low stuff so you don’t blow your speakers. It basically lets you push it harder than you would normally be able to. I thought it was a nice touch, so I put it in.

We have modeled and faithfully reproduced the classic Arp/Eminent Solina string ensemble to generate those warm and fuzzy string sounds that graced so many hit records.

This Years Super Model
We began by modeling the original Solina MK1 from Eminent making sure that the Violin, viola, cello, horn and trumpet sounds was as rich and warm as the original. The renowned ENSEMBLE effect was carefully modeled and is a thing of beauty that cannot be found in any of the sample based string machines.

One step beyond
Besides the original features of the Solina that we recreated we took a step further and expanded the sonic pallet beyond anything the original designers could have imagined. Additions like the Vox Humana and Resonators from the Polymoog synthesizer, original paraphonic and new polyphonic modes of operation, a 24dB per octave filter on the bass section, LFO, Arpeggiator, etc. all add up to creating the biggest and baddest string machine ever.
