With Mikron Reverb you can beam your music into the right atmosphere in a heartbeat. This colorful, stompbox inspired plugin is the little brother of our widely acclaimed Redline Reverb. It has the same warm and lush, ‘lexicon-ish’ sound, but a completely different mode of operation. In Mikron Reverb the majority of the parameters of Redline Reverb are hidden behind just a few intuitive knobs. It incorporates an intelligent algorithm that determines the ideal settings for those parameters for a wide variety of room characteristics. The idea behind this algorithm is that when you dial in a certain kind of reverb you usually are not interested in the reverberations of all possible rooms and positions in those rooms, but only those that will give you a superb or interesting sound. There are a lot of concert halls, but only a few are praised for their acoustics. And there is only one spot in a concert hall were the band sounds at it’s best. It’s those great sounding reverberations that we tried to capture.

Or if you are interested in a bit more technical background: there is a reason that certain spaces sound great or that when you stand in the center of a room the sound is less good than when you move a little to the front. And that has everything to do with how the different parameters of the reverberations are balanced: early reflections, decay time etc. The ultimate formula for this is still unknown, one of the reasons why architects still have difficulties designing the perfect concert hall. But we think we have been able to come up with an approximation of it. We had one advantage. Unlike architects who have to take into account the annoying constraints of real world buildings we only had to focus on how sound moves through time in a musically pleasant way. Our formula is most definitely based on a personal preference, not on a universal truth. But we dare say that it does a hell of a job. What does this mean in practice? It saves you a lot of unnecessary tweaking. Whatever knob you turn, the reverberation keeps sounding great, just different.

Up to date zero feedback delay filters and carefully calibrated controls make this synth a good replacement for the analog device with all the advantages software plugins have. As an addition, the TAL_U-NO-LX also supports portamento and different filter LFO waveforms and some more useful features. An arpeggiator with different sync modes and hold function is also included. A very fast envelope with a smooth roll-off and emulated inaccuracy gives this synth the typical sound. The synth was calibrated after a hardware device that’s property of TAL.

Design

In order to fulfill today’s TV, broadcast and music production requirements LA xLimit II offers True-Peak limiting (ISP) based on ITU-1770 specification and on top of it up to 8x “real” oversampling. Combined with True-Peak limiting reaches even highest production standards.

LA xLimit II includes an advanced adaptive release control system which reduces massively artifacts caused by fixed release times. In order to increase limiting sensitivity both stereo channels can be freely linked/unlinked.

LA xLimit II is designed to be used as last plugin in the processing chain (brick-wall limiting).

gEQ12 is 12 band stereo/MS graphic equalizer with accurate spectrum analyzer and minimum/linear phase modes. Today’s mixing and mastering processes require a full featured but easy to use equalizer which can accurately shape the tone of a track , bus or master track. eEQ12 provides all necessary tools in one package paired with some unique features. The display shows the spectrum curve of incoming and outgoing signal. gEQ12 has the unique feature that the outgoing spectrum is directly calculated from incoming spectrum (incoming spectrum – filter curve = outgoing spectrum). This allows you to capture the incoming signal, to freeze it and to modify then the filter curve based on the altered outgoing spectrum. The filter response is controlled by 12 individual filter bands. Each filter band has its own display handle, which can be adjusted by mouse.

gEQ12 consists of 12 stereo filter in series. Each filter can be configured individually by setting type, stereo placement (all, left/mid and right/side), slope, frequency, gain and q-factor. gEQ12 offers 9 analog modeled and 8 digital (Butterworth) filter. The filter quality can be increased by using oversampling. This ensures “analog” filter magnitude/phase response near Nyquist frequency. On top of it gEQ12 can operate in several minimum or linear phase modes, which can lower CPU usage and makes filter phase response linear.
