Quanta, a new Granular Synthesizer plug-in for macOS and Windows (with an iOS version coming soon)

Feature Highlights:
Quanta is a full-featured ten-voice true stereo granular synthesizer, with up to a hundred 1000ms grains per voice, and full control over the grain state, with direct randomization and modulation of most parameters. Drag-and-drop a sample (WAV, AIFF, Ogg, or FLAC) on to the window and go to work.

With two multi-mode filters (with LP, HP, BP and notch in 2-pole and 4-pole topologies), and a “sidecar” virtual-analog oscillator and noise generator that can be used in addition to, or injected into, the grain engine, Quanta is a fully capable subtractive synth in its own right, and will work as a granular or subtractive (or both) synth without any sample at all.

Quanta has mod coming out its ears. First up are four of our new FEGs (Flexible Envelope Generator), a 99-point looping function generator with optional host tempo sync. Then add two arbitrary-waveshape LFOs, a multi-source sample-and-hold module, and fully user-controllable MIDI assignments, with nearly every control on the panel as a destination.

Quanta is customizable to your taste and playing style. With full MPE support, it can take advantage of the extended control set of your Linnstrument, Seaboard, Soundplane, Continuum, or other MPE controller, and support for TUN files lets you use tuning tables. The resizable Hi-DPI GUI lets you adjust the size to match your visual needs, and the cross-platform preset mechanism lets you share your creations with your friends and collaborators, no matter what system they are using.

Modulation Processor 3244 is a audio plug-in, designed for extensive modulation and synchronisation of audio hardware and software within a DAW host application. Especially classic analog synthesizers and modular systems can be easily integrated into a DAW for synchronised parameter modulations.

2.0 – What’s new
Two new plugin formats AUi and AU MIDI FX are now at your disposal. System Exclusive checksum calculation methods can be used to create real-time messages for devices where this is required. A new X-Fader module is available for crossfading between signals. Parameter value ranges for MIDI CC and SysEx can be set to match external device specifications. Save & Load functionality within the plug-in enables easy preset handling. Revised host setup guides are online available for quick and easy DAW configuration. Sequenced Modulations
To create unique sequenced modulation patterns, 4 sequences with up to 128 steps per sequence are at your disposal.

Sync & Trigger Options
The SQ4 contains variable synchronisation options, which can be set from free running to hard sync. Note events can retrigger a sequence and several running directions can be selected.

Fine Adjustments
Swing, slew limiting, phase offset and gain, can be adjusted to accommodate modulations for the receiving device.

Curved Sequences
Each step can be designed individually to create unique modulation signals and steps can be combined to allow long and smooth curves over multiple steps.

Step & Slope Sequences
Quick adjustable step sequences can be used to create modulations with steep jumps. Slope sequences are suitable for quick and rough modulations.

Extended Features
The SQ4 can be loaded within the MP3244, which provides extended modulation possibilities.

Synthesizers with MIDI input can be controlled via MIDI Controller or System Exclusive messages. Supported messages are:

MIDI CC, RPN, NRPN (7bit / 14bit)
SysEx with checksums.

CV gear can either be controlled via any MIDI to CV converter or the plug-in can generate control voltages via a DC-coupled audio interface

Naturally, any in-host applications which lack of extensive parameter modulation, can be controlled.

•Connectivity to modular hardware is supported (including but not limited to Eurorack). With 10 Audio/CV inputs, 12 Audio/CV outputs. (Note: For low frequency CV you will need an interface that has •DC coupled inputs/outputs. Or use dedicated modules like the Expert Sleepers(TM) ES-6 and ES-3.
•Currently 220 presets are available (PLUS extra variations).

New in this update:
– In Bitwig, The Reset function of the SA03 (MIDI to CV) module does NOT go to high voltage when you press STOP in Bitwig. This is because bitwig seemingly doesn’t behave like other DAWs in the sense that it will not TELL the plugin when it goes to zero position.

TAL-Sampler is not just a sample player. It’s a full featured analog modeled synthesizer with a sampler engine as sound source, including a powerful modulation matrix and a high quality self-oscillating 24/12/6 dB low pass filter. Don’t expect a 40GB piano sample library with samples for every velocity or something similar. The idea is to bring back the fun sampling was in the good old times with small samples, fast loading times and an intuitive work-flow to create your own sample presets without getting lost in the settings.

It’s possible to choose between different digital analog converters (DAC’s) to get the vintage sound of different hardware samplers inside your DAW. We don’t make cheap bit crushing or decimation on the output signal. We really down-sample the sample to the desired sampling frequency, then process the data depending on the chosen DAC and up-sample it to the desired pitch. Most DAC modes offer a LEVEL slider. This feature allows the user to reduce the volume of the recorded sample and decreases the sample quality. Load your favorite high quality sample and make it sound vintage and noisy. The 24dB low pass filter will like it!

Following diagram shows the signal flow if you choose the DAC Emu II mode:
The plug-in has four layers an can play four samples simultaneous. There is also a simple SFZ import for samples that imports the mapping and sample paths, but the plug-in also contains an easy to use mapping editor.

TAL-Sampler is available in the VST, Audio Unit and AAX plug-in format. You can load and play your own samples in every common sample format (*.wav, *.aiff, *.aif, *.mp3, *.ogg, *.flac). Import samples with drag & drop from finder or explorer. There is also an intuitive sample browser that helps to find samples fast.

Some nice additions like a vintage real-time time stretcher and the possibility to modulate or automate the sample loop positions.

TAL-Dub-X is a remake of our popular original freeware TAL-Dub plug-in with a lot of additional features and AAX, OSX 64bit support. TAL-Dub-X is no emulation of a specific hardware delay effect and it has its own special sound. Don’t expect one of the very clean digital delays. An important part of the delay is a special saturation stage and a high quality low pass filter with resonance setting. This makes the delay suitable for endless delay effects.
