Unlimited polyphony, as PolyM’s model was considered when released ! Even if it was not true, compared to monophonic synthesisers of these times or to the five or eight voices machines, the 71 voices, each one with its own pulse width modulation, filter, VCA and envelope generator, was clearly a revolution. Recreating this legendary synthesiser as a virtual analog was a real challenge ! We decided to take up the gauntlet !

Recreating this legendary synthesiser as a virtual analog was a real challenge ! We decided to take up the gauntlet !

A Gem of Pleasure : It took more than two years, analysing, measuring, testing, scratching our heads, but we are proud to now offer you the PolyM, one of the best, if not the best, virtual divided-down based virtual synthesiser out there.

Two Top Octave Divider (T.O.D) oscillators, slightly detuned for an incredible phasing effect and a very special envelope generator are the Heart and the Soul of the PolyM.

The secret of this monster is its hybrid design from an organ like synthesiser and three filter banks, including a 24db ladder filter, driven by a monophonic envelope.

The Sound ! Using divide-down technology offers a particular sound for Chords and Pads you can’t find any other way, but that’s not all. With that sound, feeding a monophonic zero-delay 24db self-oscillating filter, driven by the keyboard gives you the possibility to play huge Basses or leads as no other synthesiser can do.

But That’s not all : Add to this  an Acoustic filter bank, a Resonator bank, a Delay, Phaser, Reverb and plenty of modulation possibilities, you can understand why the PolyM gives you so much pleasure when playing it !

“The fight for frequencies is over” TrackSpacer is a 32-band EQ that analyses a track via an external sidechain and then applies the opposing frequency curve to the track you place the plug-in on in real time. As implied by name, TrackSpacer cleverly creates space or room in a mix for any instrument, voice, or other audio source by performing automatic, multi-band equalisation on a per track basis. But how, exactly, does it do that, then? Quite simply, it analyses the audio frequency content in a track/bus via Sidechain, and applies an intelligent 32-band EQ to subtract those frequencies from the channel/bus where TrackSpacer is inserted — giving room or space to a specific track by reducing its frequencies on another track in realtime, in other words! It is not a multiband compressor, it is not a dynamic EQ, it’s a completely new approach.

In the mix:
TrackSpacer is versatile and can be used in many different situations. For example, a very basic use is to duck on the bass the frequencies that the kick drum is using. Simply insert TrackSpacer in the bass track and have it listen to the kick track via sidechain, adjust the filters and set the ratio knob. Decide if you want TrackSpacer to subtract frequencies in the entire stereo, or only in the mid channel. Another use is for post production, when a voiceover has to speak on the top of a background music. Set the plugin so it reduces the frequencies that the voice uses to the background music. There are many more uses like “acoustic guitar – electric guitars”, “snare drum – overheads”, “snare – synths”.

System Requirements:
– WiN ALL / Mac (OSX 10.4 or later).
– VST, VST3, AU, RTAS, AAX. Both 32 and 64 bit.
– DAW with sidechain functionality.

Decimort recreates the colouration and adds the vintage sampler’s magic to any sound.

Electronic music (especially Hip-Hop) producers have long been aware that classic samplers (such as early Akai and E-MU units) had a character and sound all their own: they added a “grit” and “color” to the samples and loops they played back which made them sound “fat” and sit well in a mix. This sound coloration was due to the encoding techniques, lower sample rate and bit depth, and conversion circuits used by these early samplers. Decimort recreates this coloration and adds that vintage sampler magic back to any loop, any bassline, or any sound played through it for that matter! Beyond vintage sampler emulation, it’s also the perfect bit-crusher with filter, capable of extreme settings for dramatic results.

More control than any other effect of this type
Decimort isn’t just another bitcrusher with only bit resolution and sampling frequency to tweak; in fact, it provides far more advanced features than you likely could have ever expected from an effect of this kind, all implemented in stunning quality:

  • Two optional anti-alias filters – A very steep low-pass pre filter (Approximative Filter) coupled with the resampling frequency that removes all harmonic content above it, ensuring no aliasing will appear below this frequency in the spectrum. A further post filter (Image filter), also synchronized with the resampler, gives control over amount of aliasing images appearing above resampling frequency when enabled
  • Adjustable Jitter – An unprecedented feature in the bit crusher’s world which introduces short-period, random fluctuations to the resampling frequency, thus making the process even more sonically interesting by producing a type of harmonic distortion you’ve likely never heard in this context.
  • Two quantization methods – Two available quantization methods; the mid-raiser and mid-tread decimation algorithms, each of them characterized by a drastically different dynamics response.
  • Controllable dithering – Dithering was conceptually developed as means to reduce audible quantization errors by masking the harmonic distortions they cause. We added controllable dithering to increase number of ways in which you can (mal)treat the sound.

Vintage Modelled Delay

Built-in 23 delay models ranging from classic oil cans and plates to the most famous vintage digital designs. There have been many incredible delay units created over the past 70 years, from tape delays to oil cans to modern digital circuits.

All-in-one

Introducing Repeater – A dual delay powerhouse that features 23 unique authentically modeled delay units ranging from classic oil cans and plates to the most famous vintage digital designs:

  • Cassette Tape – A model of an early 80’s Japanese cassette tape deck. We’d call this one mid-fi
  • Coopy Cube – An early 70’s delay originally made from a garden hose! Great for short delays to add depth, also with stereo Spread option.
  • Digital 42 – One of the most famous modern digital delays, this one has a uniquely early digital tone with a touch of graininess and a slight scoop. Great for guitars and vocals.
  • Digital 42 x 2 – The double option on the Digital 42, it halves the sample rate for an extremely unique lo-fi tone that is great on vocals, guitars, and drums.
  • Digital Delay – A hi resolution digital delay. Use Repeater’s filters and Color to customize the tone.
  • DM-2 – An early bucket brigade analog delay with a warm and rich tone. Amazing on guitars and synths.
  • Mellow Delay – A smooth, subdued delay that is based on several vintage analog topologies.
  • Memory Guy – Lush analog delay with fat vintage tone.
  • Mirky Delay – Based on early bucket brigade analog delays, it is dark and thick. Great as a special effect delay or thickener when used with the Spread option.
  • New Radio – Delay tone with FM radio style scooped hi-fi tone. Try it on vocals.
  • Old Radio – Delay tone with AM radio style grainy lo-fi tone.
  • Pitchy Delays – (3 models) – Delays with slight pitch modulations for extremely spatial and deep effects. Sounds great when both delay lines are set to the same time creating a chorusing mono effect. These can also be used with tight delays with Spread option for widening and thickening effects.
  • Plexy Echo – Based on an old 70s tape delay unit. It’s fat tone, which sounds great on vocals guitars and even drums.
  • Space Delay – Based on the famous magnetic tape delay with warm and gritty tone. A classic on guitars.
  • Tape Delay Ancient – An extremely old 1940’s style tape delay tone.
  • Tape Delay Classic – Early 60’s style tape delay.
  • Tape Delay Modern – Hi-fi tape delay with warm and lush tone.
  • Tape Delay Vintage – 70’s style tape tone, slightly grainy but warm.
  • Telephone 1 – Lo-fi telephone tone, great for special effects or used as an insert on vocal or even full mix.
  • Telephone 2 – Another lo-fi telephone tone with slightly different frequency and distortion tone.
  • TelRay – The analog delay classic made original from a tuna can. Beautifully lo-fi with a rich tone that is perfect for guitars.

Two is better than one
At first glance, Repeater appears to be your typical stereo delay effect processor with independent control of the processing path for the left and right channels. In actuality, it features independent re-panning and dry/wet mixing for each of two stereo channels, which makes it a very flexible double delay line effect. You’ll be surprised and delighted by all the capabilities this approach can offer over the typical, fixed-panned one.

Variable-Tube Compressor

MJUC is the most effortful plugin to date. It took almost two years of extensive, dare I say “excessive”, research and development. To create MJUC I’ve researched and analyzed each and every variable-mu* implementation I could get my hands on to get the best of tube compression into a single processor. In order to do the diversity of this compression topology justice, three different models have been built. These are kind of a time travel though the history of tube compression to capture the essence of each generation. Each model has its own dedicated signal path and dedicated control set. If desired you can tweak the overall tone and saturation of each model with the unique TIMBRE and the DRIVE control. DRIVE controls the load of the input and output transformers as the saturation of the tube gain stages, if applicable. The TIMBRE extends MJUC’s use as a tone shaping device.

MJUC is the first Klanghelm plugin, that’s built with the help of a new framework. That’s brings a lot of new usability features such as GUI-resizing, AB-ing and a feature-rich platform independent preset browser with save/copy/paste/save-as-default functionality. Furthermore it’s possible to tweak the knob behavior, enable tooltips, show/hide value labels and more. All these features will find their way to the existing Klanghelm plugin as soon as possible.

Model Mk1 is based on the very early variable-mu* designs from the 50s. Due to its extremely high control voltage it doesn’t impart any audible “thumping”, most other variable-mu* designs suffer from at high GR and fast timing constants. Also it has a very simple signal path, where the compression happens directly in the audio path. The result is a very natural compression character with very little distortion. The arrangement of four(!) variable-mu* stages add to the incredibly dense and thick nature of Mk1. Mk1 is the most colored of MJUC’s models.

Model Mk2 is built upon the more complex designs of the 175 and 176 from the early 1960s, the all-tube-predecessors of the classic 1176 FET compressor. It offers four ratios, a density switch, that enables a second variable-mu* stage and reduces the program dependence of the attack and recovery timings to a minimum. Furthermore, it lets you activate the interstage transformer to reduce overall noise and distortion and making the compression more accentuated. Compared to Mk1 the second model is less Jazz and more Rock’n’Roll with enhanced generated harmonics and a more forward sounding character.

Model Mk3 is the least colored and most Hi-Fi-sounding model in MJUC. It is Klanghelm’s modern interpretation of this compression topology. The only design idea derived from another modern famous variable-mu* comp is, that it’s circuitry is done entirely differential, making the unit very quiet and almost distortion-free. But the real special thing about this model is, that the actual compression is done by two different variable-mu* stages, which kind of work against each other, one works feedforward, while the other in a feedback configuration. This results in a attack accentuating, punchy compression, surprisingly closer to a British G type bus comp than to a 670.
